STUDENT SATURDAY (ASSOCIATE): ANDREW
This is Andrew, who is a worship leader at the Church of Pentecost North York-PWIC. Andrew has had a wonderful experience in both the youth and Pensa ministries and says:
“The Bible says, “Iron sharpens iron, so as one person sharpens another” (Proverbs 27:17). It is easy to be led astray by the things of the world, especially while being a young adult with a God given gift such as singing. But I continue to overcome distractions of the world with the help of the Pensa Ministry and fellow youth. Day by day, they help to reinforce the importance of being around those who are just or even more as God-conscious and passionate about the things of God. The Pensa Ministry has taught me the importance of worshiping God in this perverse generation, by using my voice to silence the noise of the world through songs of praise and worship to my King!
One major element about the Pensa Ministry is to bring togetherness. We all come from different backgrounds and walks of life but one thing we all have in common as youth is music.
I have noticed the impact that individuals can make when coming together with the same desires of praising and bringing forth the glory of God , that can shift atmospheres and also make a huge difference in the current generation and generations to come.
“The trumpeters and singers performed together in unison to praise and give thanks to the Lord. Accompanied by trumpets, cymbals, and other instruments, they raised their voices and praised the Lord with these words: “He is good! His faithful love endures forever!” At that moment a thick cloud filled the Temple of the Lord. The priests could not continue their service because of the cloud, for the glorious presence of the Lord filled the Temple of God.”

My love for God and passion for music has helped me bring a new dynamic to the Youth and Pensa Ministry. Through God and with the support of others, we have created a solid music team dedicated to lead all musical aspects throughout our annual Pensa/Youth conferences. With togetherness and being one in Christ we have unified ourselves as young talented musicians and singers. We are dedicated to use our God-given gifts to promote Christ and preach the word of God though music with ONE heart, ONE mind and ONE sound!!!
Andrew, thanks for being such a huge blessing to the Pensa & Youth Ministry! Your involvement through music and leadership contributed to making this ministry what it is!
