REMEMBER YOUR FIRST LOVE

Happy Tuesday everyone!

We thank God for giving us this special day by His grace. May His name be praised forever. Today I would like to discuss a very important topic that we have all dealt with.

The human life is divide into stages and there is a stage in our life that when we reach we ought to be very careful for that is where the devil will try all means to destroy us. This stage of our life is where we may be exposed to all kinds of things both good and bad, we develop the spirit of disobedience, pride, arrogance, lack of self control etc.

In light of our bible reference, I would like to talk about disobedience. I have never been a parent before but reading this text, it tells me how a parent will feel when his or her child rises up against them and disregards the love he or she has for their child.

As we get older, we often times think our education, experiences and the things we have been exposed to make us better or wiser than our parents. This may even lead to use thinking we dont need their love, guidance or advice but that is not true.

The bible encourages us to respect our parents and this can be seen from the above reference, how God is trying to make the the people of Israel know the love He has for them. In the same way, our parents want the best for us. In some cases, our experiences and communication with our parents can cause us to think they dont like us, but I can assure you, they always want the best for us just as God wants the best for us.

As young men and women, if we want God’s total blessing and favour, then we need to obey our parents, not only our parents but also anybody who comes our way.

Remember how they first loved us, when we came to this earth, the joy they had seeing you when you were born and they still love and want the best for us. Let us try to do all we can to obey our parents for that God will bless us.

Its my humble prayer, from this day going, those of us who are victims of this aspect will ask God for forgiveness then humbly go to your parents and apologize for every wrong you have done to them and I know once you do that, the good Lord will grant you the grace to continue in such love with your parents.
