LET LOVE LEAD (3L)

Bible Ref: Proverbs 3:3-4

Good morning everyone.

Thanks be to our God for such a wonderful day, and granting us the grace even when we do not deserve it. May his name be praised.

As part of our theme for this year, I would like to dedicate some time to talk about some of the basic things God expect from us especially we the youth and why there is the need for us to know.

Yesterday we learnt about how God first loved us and how he continues to love us.

Today I would like to share with you something i have titled 3L.

As believers and especially as youth, the bible makes it clear that the world will know us by our love.

In my view the greatest testimony a christian can have is to love the people around us. This can be our friends, families, or even strangers.The good thing is that God puts no restriction to the people we should love.

It is important for us to know that the fact that you love someone who does something wrong or someone who habitually lives in sin doesnt mean you are approving his or her act and that is why the bible encourages us to even love our enemies.

From the above reference, the author is advising us as youth not to forsake love.

Not only are we not to forsake but we should  let love lead us in all our dealings.

Why is it important for us as christians and especially as youth to understand the need for us to love.

1) We should love because God first loved us ( 1John 4:18-19)

2) If you love your neighbour you will do no harm to the person (Romans 13:10)

3)If you love someone, you will not dishonour the person, (1 corithians 13:4-8)

4) It also shows that we love God (1 John 4:21)

5) It is the greatest of all the commandments (1 Corinthians 13:3)

Having these points and others that you can think of, I will encourage all of us the let love lead (3L) in every aspect of our life.
