Good morning everyone,

Thanks to God the father who loved us and chose us even before thr the foundation of the earth through Jesus Christ our Lord.We thank God for his endless love, care, grace, favour and protection for the church and for his children, may his name be praise.

Since February is the month of love and love been the greatest of all the commandment we will continue with our devotion on love, looking into some of the practical ways we can demonstrate love and the blessings associated.

Today I would like to share with you about GIVING, which is one of the ways we can demonstrate love to one another when we have the capacity to do by the grace of God.
Given voluntary and cheerfully is an act the bible commands us to do as children of God. In fact it should be practiced continuously.

Giving can come in different form depending on the need of the person whom you want to help.It can be TIME, MONEY, FOOD, CLOTH, etc and it should be voluntary.Following the example of our Lord Jesus Christ helps us to develop the ART of giving ( Acts 2:42).

It should be noted that giving is not measured by what we have but what we give out of whatever we have ( 2 Corinthians 8:1-3).It is therefore incorrect to think the we cannot give until we have accumulated in excess of wealth.( Mark 12:43-44).

As children of God and especially as youth, it is important for us to to have in mind these things, WHAT to give, WHOM do we give to and HOW to give.God expect us to first give our life to Him in salvation (2 Corinthians 8:5).Our giving will make meaning and appreciated by God when we have first given our lives to Him.( Psalm 66:18).

Once the basis and the foundations have been set, we will then in the subsequent days look into the WHAT, WHOM and the HOW of giving and I pray the Lord will help us for us to understand the need of given as part of our responsibility of demonstrating love to others.

May the peace and blessing of God be with us all.
