ADD VALUE TO YOUR LOVE.

Bible Reference: Philippians 1:9-11
Good morning everyone,
We thank our God for such a wonderful day and time and His endless love and care for us. May His name be praised now and forever.
Today I would like to share with you a very short message which I came across in my search for scripture and I felt the need to share with you and trust that the Holy Spirit will open our hearts and speak to you even as you read.
As Christians and believers we all have heard and been taught right from our children ministry about the importance of loving God and loving our neighbour.In my view almost every believer and even unbelievers understand the need for love.
Just as Christ said, the greatest of all the commandment is LOVE and indeed it is because of love God had for us that He sent His only son to come and die for us so that we may be made right with God.
Today we will be looking at the need for us to grow our love in two important things which are KNOWLEDGE and DEPTH of INSIGHT.From this bible verse, its clear that as christians there is the need for us to add value to our love.
Why do we have to grow our love or add value to our love?
From the above bible reference, we see some benefits that comes with growing love in knowledge and depth of insight.
The following are some of the reasons why as christians we need to add value to our love;
1. It helps us to be able to discern what is best.(Philippians 1:10, Proverbs 15:21).
The ways of God are right, and it is only those who are discern that will know them and walks in them. (Hosea 14:9)
2. Growing love in knowledge and depth of insight will help us to be pure and blameless( verse 10). When we grow love in knowledge and depth of insight, we will speak the truth from our heart, our tongues will utter no slander, we will do no wrong to our neighbour, we will cast no slur on others (Psalm 15:2-3)
3.Growing love in knowledge and depth of insight helps us to be filled with fruits of righteousness. (verse 11). Righteousness guards the one whose way is blameless (Psalm 13:6).
From these three key points from our bible reference, it is clear for us to appreciate the need to grow our love inĀ  knowledge and in depth insight.Even as you begin this week, just as Paul wrote to the Philippians telling them about what he prays for them, that their love love may abound more and more in knowledge and in depth insight, I pray that we will also grow our love in knowledge wherever we find ourselves.
I pray you go through your week with this verse.
“Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation. Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky as you hold firmly to the word of life”.(Philippians 2:14-16)
God bless you.
