WE ALL HAVE A ROLE TO PLAY, DON’T BE LEFT OUT. ( THE POWER OF TEAM WORK)
Bible Ref: Haggai 1:8   ” Go up to the mountain and bring wood and build the house, that I may take pleasure in it and that I may appear in my glory, says the LORD”
Good morning everyone,
We thank God for such another wonderful day like this. May His name be praised now and forever.
Reading through the bible both in the old testament and the new testament, one thing was seen to be common among the old religion which is TEAM WORK. Everyone played his or her role in the things of God and no one was underestimated or looked down.
In our daily life, team work is all around us, whether in school, business, neighbourhood and church. It is in the interest of God to see His children working together.
Looking at our bible reference, it could be seen that God was instructing the people through the prophet to build His temple. They were asked to go up to the mountain and get the things needed for the building of the temple.
In my view, , some may be able to climb to the end of the mountain, some may go half way, not everyone could get the strength to climb up yo the mountain, they may be at the bottom of the mountain, but in all everyone at every point on the journey is important.
Those who may be able to go up to the end of the mountain to get the wood might not have the strength to descend with the wood and the role of those in the middle of the journey will be needed. It is obvious that the very people who couldn’t climb at all will also be needed to help get the wood safely on the ground.
In regard to the above reference, what then are we expected to do in this modern christianity to enable a better teamwork and efficiency in our christian walk.
1) We are expected to keep each other sharp,( Proverbs 27:17)
2.You might be a prayerful person, pray for others (Matthew 5:44, Hebrews 13:18-19, Deuteronomy 9:18-19) and encourage others to pray( 1Thessalonians 5:11, Ezra 8:21-23)
3. We shouldn’t be selfish ( Philippians 2:3-4),
4.We have to intercede for others ( 1 Samuel 7:5-9)
5. We have to show hospitality (3 John 1:8)
6. We are also expected to show concern for one another ( Philippians 2:3-4, Romans 12:10, Hebrews 10:24-25)
7. Those of us who are strong should help others in their weakness. (Romans 15:1, Exodus 4:10-15)
8. Providing constructive advice and criticism to others when needed. (Exodus 18:17-21, Proverbs 11:14)
9. We all have different talents and we are expected to use it wisely to help the kingdom of God. (Ephesians 4:11-12, 1Corinthians 12:7-8)
In conclusion, may be you may not have the strength to climb up to the mountain, may be you can go half way, or you may be able to go up to the end of the mountain, in all we all have a role to play to achieve one goal and one positive result.
I will end by saying, whatever gift God has given  you, use it for the glorification of God and let people benefit fro such gift.
Together we can.
Gos bless you
