RETURN TO THE LORD FROM YOUR INIQUITY AND ENJOY THE BLESSING OF HIS PROMISE

Bible Reference: Hosea 14:1  “Return, O Israel, to the Lord your God, for you have stumbled because of your iniquity”.

Good morning everyone,

Another wonderful day given to us by God is here and we thank God for His love and care even in our faithlessness situation.May His name be praised now and forever.

Since the time of Adam to this time, man has never seized to rebel against the holy and just God.We chose to do our own things, we go our own ways, neglect our creator and live the way we want, yet this God has never seize loving us. As children who have rebelled against God and continue to rebel against Him, we deserve nothing than the perfect judgement and His wrath, but because of the power of the blood, and the love of God we are still living under by the grace.

We serve a God who is gracious, compassionate and He is calling through Christ to rend our heart to Him and return to him.(Joel 2:13).It doesn’t matter the state of your sin, or how long you have rebelled against God, He still loves you and wants the best for you.

Before we look into the benefits that comes along when we recognize our sin and return to God for help, I would like to share with you some factors that makes us rebel against God and sin against the holy God.

1.The fear of people rather than the fear of God. (1Samuel  15:24-25). We sometimes listens to the voice of people and try to please human rather than God and as a result, we sin against God. Sometimes it comes from the influence from our friends in our school, in our work place, even in our churches.

2. The love for money.( 2Timothy 3:2)

3.Self ambition and envy (James 3:16)

4. Greediness( Isaiah 56:11)

May be you may find yourself in one of these and other factors, today I want to encourage you, that there came a certain man, who was without sin, who was and is God but because of us, He stripped off all his power and Godliness, dwell among us, took upon himself our weakness and sin and nailed it on the cross, died and resurrected and has since been the medium for us to return to God and this is the man Jesus.

Don’t give up, the grace is still available and Christ is still God, all you need to do is to look up unto him and run to him for forgiveness of sin.

What are some of the promise God has for us when we return to him and yield to his commandments and ways?

1.God will heal us from our faithlessness

2.We will experience Gods free love

3.We shall flourish as a garden

4. The Lord will fight for us.(Exodus 14:14)

5. God will give u strength and increase our power (Isaiah 40:29)

6.We will be purified from all unrighteousness( 1John 1:9, 2 Chronicles, 7:14)

These and many more are the blessings that follows when we return to God from our iniquities
