LOVE NOT THE WORLD.
Bible Verse: James 4:4 “You adulterous people! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God?Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God”.
Good morning everyone,
Blessed be to God our creator and the Father of our lord and master Jesus Christ.May His name be praise now and forever.
We will be dedicating this entire week to be reminding ourselves of how we ought to live as christians who have been washed by the precious blood of Christ.It is not just about saying we have been saved, but also how we live after been saved.Our new life in which we have been born into by the grace of God should be an example for others.
Like I always say, it is practically impossible to distinguish between christians of this generation from those whom who describe as non christians or non believers.There is absolutely no difference christian youths and those of the world.
The bible makes it clear to us that no one can serve two masters equally, which means as children of God, we CANNOT live like how the world lives and still claim to be saved.
We are the light of the world, and we have been crucified with the Lord, and who ever follows Jesus will not walk in darkness.
What then does it mean to walk in darkness?
1. Habitually living in sin.
2. Loving the world more than God
3. Disobedience to the commandments of God
4. Selfishness
4. Greediness etc
All these and many more you can think of are things children of God saved through the death and resurrection of Christ shouldnt be seen doing.Unfortunately most christians today find themselves in one or more of the these acts.
God is Holy and expect us to live a holy a holy life, which means through the Holy Spirit given to us and by Gods grace we can live a holy life in the sight of God.
We are not concerned of the things of God anymore, the things of God are now boring to us especially we the youth.
If we should put in the same efforts we put i when it comes to things of the world into our christianity, the mighty hand of god will be seen.
I look at the passion we had and how we talked about BLACK PANTHER movie, analyzing the entire movie, the advertisement that went on, how we were able to convince people to go and watch the movie, I only ask one question, can we do same when it comes to things of God and matters of salvation, hmmmm.Its my prayer the good Lord will help us all.
If it must be done, it must be done well.We either do it or never. God need serious, committed people.The grace is still available, tomorrow might be too late, Christ is still calling you, let go the desires of the world, “set you hope fully on the grace the is to be revealed, abstain from the passions of the flesh that wage war agains your soul”.
Isaiah 55:7 ” Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the LORD, that he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon”.
Its my prayer that you will not harden your heart, but rather will allow the Holy Spirit to work in you to bring you to perfection before God the father.
God loves you, and you are precious to Him.
Resist the devil and love god with all your heart.
