FEAR NOT, FOR THE LORD YOUR GOD IS IN YOUR MIDST
FEAR NOT, FOR THE LORD YOUR GOD IS IN YOUR MIDST.
Bible Reference: Zephaniah 3: 16-17. ” On that day it shall be said to Jerusalem: ” Do not fear, O Zion; let not your hands grow weak. The LORD, you God, is in your midst, a warrior who gives victory; he will rejoice over you with gladness, he will renew you in his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.”
Good morning everyone,
We thank our God for such a wonderful day in our life.We bless our God for his mercies and love for us and our families. May his name be praised forever.
Today we will be looking at one of the promises of God for us as his children. Many at times we become so scared of the world and the challenges in life. But today I would like to encourage you and to remind you about the promise God has for us.
We may find ourselves in difficult times, afflictions, shame, neglect and many more, but in all these our God is telling us he is in our midst. What a great promise. Because Christ lives we can face tomorrow. Things may not be going the way we expect, perhaps we are in the most difficult times in our life, but remember what Apostle peter said in 1 Peter 1:6 ” In this you rejoice, though now for a little while you may have to suffer various trials.”
What then are we suppose to do when we find ourselves in difficult times.
As young christians, the first thing in my point of view is to know and understand what it means when God says he is in our midst so we should not fear.
One will say how then should we go through all these difficult times when the all powerful God is in our midst?
In my point of view the answer to such question by a believer is to know who God is.He is not bound by time or season, he is GOD.All we need to know is he is never late.
May be in school you are putting in your best to studies but yet things are not going on the way it should be.But we should remember the promise of God as is found in Roman 8:28 ” We know that in everything God works for good with those who love him, who are called according to his purpose.”
Remember the promise is ALL THINGS. Not bound to time nor conditions and that is what as young christians we should understand.
Things to note from our bible reference to guide us as young christian in times of difficulties.
1) We should not fear the world nor things of the world.
2) God is our great warrior and so we shall be victorious.
3)God is always in our midst for this reason we should walk with confidence and courage.
4)His love for us is always fresh and new.
As God told Joshua in Joshua 1:9 ” Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; be not frightened, neither be dismayed; for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”
Let this be your message for the day, meditate on it as you go through the day.
Its my prayer the good Lord will help us all to rely on him in every area of our life, to look up to him for help in times of happiness and in times of troubles.
God bless you
