IS GOD’S LOVE REVEALED TO YOU?

Bible Reference: 1 John 3:1 “See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him.”

Good morning believers in Christ,

We thank God for such another wonderful day like this. We thank him for his grace and protection for us, our families and the whole world through Christ Jesus our savior. May his name be praised now and forever?

God’s love is something many Christians today have difficulty in understanding. Many of us think God’s love rely on our performance on our walk of faith. This to me seems like idolatry.

God’s perfect love for us is based upon the sweet merits of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ.

God sent his one and only son into the world to bring us who were far of, those of us who were fast approaching the wrath of God, but through Christ we were brought near and we were saved from the wrath of God because we believed in him.

The love of God not only is it perfect but also everlasting for those who abide in him. (Jeremiah 31:3). Because of his greater love for us, God is slow to anger seeking that none will perish. (2 Peter 3:9, Psalm 103:8-11).

From the above bible reference, through Christ we are no longer slaves, but children of the most high God. Paul in the book of Roman 8:35-39 admonishes us as Christians to understand what great such a love is and why he Paul will be willing to die for the Lord.

What can we learn from the account by Paul in Romans 8:35-39?

From my point of view, what Apostle Paul basically means is that, if we sum all the so called afflictions, life challenges, good times and bad times, happiness or sorrow, success or failures, and many more, they are no where near comparable to the Love God showed to us through Christ.

If indeed Gods love has been revealed to us through Christ Jesus, then there should be a difference in our way of life. We should be able to bear the fruit of righteousness, which comes as a result of our encounter with Christ.

Take some time of the day, think about this love, I know you cant quantify this great love, but just ask yourself why you. Why are you still living after all these years of sin and rebel against God, why does he still keep watch over you? Are you special than those who die everyday, do you actually deserve to live, all these should be enough to keep you into constant and continuous piety for the Lord.

God bless you for reading.
