KNOW THE WAYS OF GOD AND WALK IN HIS PATH
Bible Verse Isaiah 2:3 “And many peoples will come and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, To the house of the God of Jacob; That He may teach us concerning His ways And that we may walk in His paths.” For the law will go forth from Zion And the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
Good morning belovers in Christ,
Grace to you and peace from God our father and Christ Jesus our saviour be multiplied to you. We thank our God for such another wonderful and blessed day given to us through Christ the one and only true son of God. May the name of our Lord God be praised now and forever.
Today in our search for scriptures we will be looking at knowing the ways of God and how to walk in His path. As Christians and as youth, knowing the ways of God is an important step in our Christian walk since that is the only way we can hold on to the faith even when we are faced with challenges.
From the bible verse it is revealed to us that the only way we can know the ways of God is when we have fellowship with him. Having fellowship with God is not only about going to church but also your personal devotion to God. The ability to develop the habit of a constant personal fellowship with God draws us closer to God and through that we get to know the ways of Him.
Moses identified that the only way he can walk in the path of God and find favor in the sight of God is b y Knowing his ways (Exodus 33:13). This was a man who had direct communication with God yet desired nothing else than knowing the ways of God.
Many Christians in this generation have neglected the ways of God and created for themselves things that favor them but claim to be children of God. I believe there is no way we can claim to be children of God when we don’t know the ways of God and don’t walk in His path.
Humility is an important factor if we want to know the ways of God, the bible makes it clear in Psalm 25:9 “He leads the humble in justice, And He teaches the humble His way”.
Whenever we go our way God becomes angry with us (Hebrews 3:10 “therefore i was angry with this generation, and said, ‘they always go astray in their heart, and they did not know my ways”). God desires that as children of Him, we walk in His path and know His way.
Belovers in Christ, we must understand that apart from the ways of God which is found through Christ, all other ways lead to destruction and death. God is always calling and He is willing to pardon us if we return to His ways and walk in His path (Isaiah 55:7 “ Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon”).
The more we draw closer to God and know his ways, he will reveal the beauty of His face to us and reveal
BENEFITS WITH KNOWING GODS WAYS AND WALKING IN HIS PATH
- God will reveal the beauty of His face to us.
- He will open scriptures to us through His wisdom and revelation.
- He will reveal to us the light of His Glory
- He will unfold the secrets of His kingdom
- God will establish us as holy people to Himself (Deuteronomy 28:9)
The reason why Christ Jesus came to die for us is for this reason that we all went our ways and like sheep we went astray, but because of the great love God has for us he caused our iniquity to fall on Jesus that you and I will be saved. (Isaiah 53:6).
Its my prayer that if for any reason you have drifted away from Gods way and you do not walk on the path of God, because of the piece you will repent of such and come to the saving knowledge of Christ.
