CARING FOR ONE ANOTHER, A REQUIREMENT OF ALL BELIEVERS

Bible Ref: Nehemiah 1:1-11

Good afternoon everyone,

Yet the LORD has made it possible for us another day and we thank Him for His mercies and love even when we are faithless he has always been faithful to us.

Today I would like to share something about showing care for one another and praying for our each other and unbelievers when they are in need.

From the above bible reference, we can see that even though Nehemiah lived at ease and in honour, he never forgot his fellow Israelites when he heard that they were in distress. He demonstrated that he was ready to do good and to showed kindness to them.

It could also be found from this story that Nehemiah made inquiries of them. This tells us as Christians and as youth that we should also inquire especially concerning the state of our ministry, church, and above all our fellow brethren in faith.

As a group, our services are always need to help friends who are in need.
May be by the grace of God we find ourselves in some positions that we can use such opportunity given to us by God to help others.

As Nehemiah did from the account, his first application was to the Almighty God, that he might have confidence in his request from the king. This tells us that in every situation and decision we might want to take as Christians, our first point of contact should be God.

The best pleas as Christians in prayers are taken from the promise we have in God, that is the word God has given us hope in Jesus.

There can be other means that might be useful but as the scripture says, ” the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails most”.

This also encourages us that our communion with the most high God as youth and Christians prepares us for our dealings with our fellow brethren.

Just as our Lord first loved us and as a result gave His only son to us, we should also show concern to others who are in pain wherever we find ourselves, be it in our schools, our work place, in church or even in our own families.

May God who made Nehemiah find favour in the sight of the king grant us favour in everything we that we might be able to help others who are in need.

God bless you
