TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS DAY, TOMORROW MIGHT BE TOO LATE.
Bible Reference. Amos 8:11-12 “The days are coming,” declares the Sovereign Lord, “when I will send a famine through the land—
not a famine of food or a thirst for water, but a famine of hearing the words of the Lord.
People will stagger from sea to sea and wander from north to east searching for the word of the Lord, but they will not find it.

Good morning everyone,
We thank God for his love and grace for granting us this day.May his name be praised now and forever.
Today we are looking at a very important thing in our christian walk which is more of a reminder of the coming of Christ Jesus, the judgement of God and to alert us of the importance of this time we have on earth.
Many at times, we may think this passage is not applicable to us, but i disagree because there are a lot of christians who are still living in darkness and have not the light. The spread of the word of God is accelerating at a very fast rate and almost everyday of our life, we have the opportunity to hear the word of God.
But the question is, do we just hear them? are they of interest to us? do we value the words we hear? do we act on them? do we allow the word we hear transform us? do we meditate upon the word? do we love to know more and to learn more? are they changing our life? do we see improvement in our christian walk?etc. This and many more are the questions we should be asking.
Even though the word of God is all over the world, we encounter them in almost any place we find ourselves but it is so unfortunate that most christians find the word of God irritating in their ears.
In this generation we love to hear messages that makes us feel comfortable even when we are living deadly in sin.We hate the truth and love lies.Just as Paul said in the book of 2 Timothy 4:3 “For the time will come when men will not tolerate sound doctrine, but with itching ears they will gather around themselves teachers to suit their own desires.”
This is a gentle reminder to those of us who have forgotten the coming of Christ and the holy judgement of God and as a result, we have neglected the things of God, we have chosen our own path, and rely on our strength. If there is something we should be thirsty for and hunger for in this day, I will say it is the word of God, the desire to serve him and to abide in him.
I don’t know what is holding you back in your christian walk but whatever that is there is still opportunity for you, Christ is still calling and the grace is still available for you.A day is coming when there will be no opportunity and that will be the day we will be standing before the Holy God for his perfect judgement.
This is the time and day, this is the hour.
God bless you.
